Dear friends,
How are you?
The summer is my favorite time of the year and this summer so far is picture perfect!!
I’m working on several great projects and soon I will have more news to share with you!! I’m so very excited and I can’t wait to tell you.
I’m also preparing for the all the upcoming shows, learning new songs to add and working on arrangements for the musicians with my MD. We discussing about additions like dancers, video projections and more. I love to work on what I love the most: music!!
As you already know I love also to write songs. I always have melodies and words on my mind.
And being a songwriter my self, I’m always paying great attention to great songs and I’m full of admiration for great songwriters. Burt Bacharach is for sure among the greatest.
"The Look of Love" is a song he wrote with lyrics by Hal David. The song was sung by Dusty Springfield and appeared in the 1967 James Bond film Casino Royale.
The music written by Burt Bacharach was originally intended to be an instrumental. But later Hal David added the lyrics, and the song was published in 1967. According to Bacharach, watching Ursula Andress in an early cut of the film inspired the melody.
Well here is the picture of it. No need to say more about!!
I love this song and I enjoy very much to perform it and to listen to the so many different versions of it!
Here is the version of Diana Krall “Live in Paris”
Stay tune for my Friday “Italian Lifestyle” blog about the San Marzano Tomatoes and a great recipe!!
Love always,
Giada
